This was really just a space filler before I got to #400, being the only cold beer not rated, I thought why not. Pee yellow color with a fading white fizzy head. Grain aroma, light struck, skunk. Thin macro grain funky aftertaste with an overall nastiness. Maverick34 (716), New York, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Apr 2, 2007 Bottle. Not bad. Sweet, hoppy flavor with a light mouthfeel. Probably doesn’t travel well, given the slight skunkiness. Good enough.

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 31, 2007 Bottle. Very grassy in both aroma and flavor - loads of hops. Pours a pure golden in color with a fizzy foamy head.
Good, for a big brewer. strings (361), Sydney, Australia
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Mar 31, 2007 Bottle. Acceptable, better than a few of the other mainstream German beers common at oz bottle shops. Smooth and hoppy, as grassy as it is malty. Jordiam (70), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

It poured a slightly cloudy, light yellow with a small white head that sinks quickly. It had a fairly strong aroma and taste, but I didn’t mind. Aroma of grass after a rainfall with hints that it will be bitter and hoppy. For the first taste it seemed to have notes of sour fruits. Ended off slightly bitter, but decently smooth. It tastes like a good version of Labatt Blue, but not much more than a slightly above average beer. Strykzone (1496), Wood River, Illinois, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 20, 2007 There must be Saar hops by the boatload in here. The Saar aroma jumps out of the bottle. That hop is one of my least favorite but fortunately the aroma is worse than the flavor. The taste is better than expected. Plenty of grass and earthiness are here as well as corn and spice. Not much carbonation at all and the beer is smooth in the mouth. Lowenbrau settled into a crisp and easy drinking beer. It goes down easy and left me wanting another. Nice one.
