Now I found out it’s german helles. I’ll call it an excellent lager. Very smooth, slightly fruity and a bit on the sweet side, but with a dry finish. The mouth feel is extraordinarily smooth and full. It’s quite far from northern german pilsner type lagers, which are very crisp and bitter on hops. Derek881 (497), Frederick, Maryland, USA

Mild to average carbonation, but still fairly smooth. The beer is dry and thin and is mildly bitter. A subtle grainy hops aroma. Overall a quality beer, but it does not distinguish itself from the pack. zombywoof (358), Shawnee, Kansas, USA

Dry with a lively carbonation. Not one of the better German brews, though. berkshirejohn (1826), Bracknell, Berkshire, England

Slightly on the sweet side for a Helles in my opinion. Borup (1359), Albertslund, Denmark

Yes there is a little bitterness with this, but still a good flavor. Goes down smooth. Higher alcohol content than most domestics. Always dug the Lion on the label as well. Will definetly drink again. DJC (238), USA

Some lacing, and that was nice to see. MIld, pleasant hop aroma. Flavor is moderately bitter, yet very refreshing and drinkable. I’ll have another.
