(4.5%) I always thought this was a danish lager for some reason. Now I found out it’s german helles. I’ll call it an excellent lager. Very smooth, slightly fruity and a bit on the sweet side, but with a dry finish. The mouth feel is extraordinarily smooth and full. It’s quite far from northern german pilsner type lagers, which are very crisp and bitter on hops.

Traditional tasting German lager. Light-medium gold color with a thin white head. Mild to average carbonation, but still fairly smooth. The beer is dry and thin and is mildly bitter. A subtle grainy hops aroma. Overall a quality beer, but it does not distinguish itself from the pack.

Smooth, unassuming German lager-grainy but a little bit of hops. Dry with a lively carbonation. Not one of the better German brews, though.

66cl bottle: deep straw colour with a creamy white head and high carbonation; fresh cereal aroma; good balance of hops and malt in the mouth with a crisp finish. Slightly on the sweet side for a Helles in my opinion.

Can. Golden colour with a white head. Aroma of malt with notes of fruit. Flavour of malt and hops with a bitter finish.

My favorite German beer. The aroma is semi-skunk. Yes there is a little bitterness with this, but still a good flavor. Goes down smooth. Higher alcohol content than most domestics. Always dug the Lion on the label as well. Will definetly drink again.

Light golden color, and a nice initial head. Some lacing, and that was nice to see. MIld, pleasant hop aroma. Flavor is moderately bitter, yet very refreshing and drinkable. I’ll have another.
