Doesn’t really have much going for it other than it’s readily available and doesn’t taste bad. Has a moderate amount of carbonation, smooth palate, a little watery, but overall not bad. Typical light lager. AmazonMatt (285), Panama

Poured a straw color with high carbonation and a weak white head. It was actually surprising in the mouth, as I was expecting the wet sock/corn that we get from similar beers here in Panama. Actually, this beer was fresh and clean, with very mild versions of the flavors that I like in beer. Not bad, but not memorable in any way either. iowaherkeye (1876), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 19, 2006 12oz bottle, no date. Pours a crystal pale yellow with a fading one finger white head. First aroma upon opening the bottle was some skunk. After that, moves on to some grainy sweet malts and some light grassy hops. The taste consists of some sweet bready malts, though the grain is still there. The hops are present, though more in the background. Except for a very mild sweetness in the finish, it’s relatively clean. Lighter bodied, high carbonation. MoreHead (355), Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 4/5 | 8/20 | Sep 14, 2006 Some nice bready malt aroma, but for me this was overawed by a saccharine flavour. Once this dissipated the aftertaste had some nice grassy notes. This might go down well on a warm summer’s day, but analysing it does it no favours. Smells distinctly ganja-like. But tipping it down my neck struggling to discern any flavours worthy of mention. A dry, grainy, faintly whiskeyish finish? That’ll do. Reminds me of many of the beers I sampled in Japan. Which reminded me of a cheap malt whiskey heavily diluted with water. Pumped with CO2. Just not a fan of that rubbery-grainy dryness. Or maybe this wishy-washy Helles style in general. One of my least favourite German beers. Slacks (488), Bolton, Ontario, Canada

Mind you, I respect that my palate must continue to grow, but I’m seriously bored of these pale hoppy/malty lagers that everyone seems to have at least one of. What’s to say? Pours gold, some head, thick bubbles that settle to a thin stream. Aroma of hops, grass, and corn. Light bitterness on the taste with a good amount of malt and hints of corn. Wake me when it’s over. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 27, 2006 Light gold appearance. Strong European Pilsener/lager aroma of hops and grass, plus layers of cardboard and lemon zest. Surprisingly quite malty in flavour, as well as nuances of steel and grass. Nice bitter finish.
