I can remember when this was being brewed in the USA by Miller, but I’m glad to see it’s back overseas, where it began. Anyway, it poured out a golden yellow color, with a slight haziness to it. Had a decent enough head on it, but didn’t last too long. Slightly bitter taste to it, with a metallic finish to it as well. It did taste of malts, and a slight fresh hay quality to it also. Had bitterness aplenty. Finished kind of thin, however. A better pilsener than most on the market.

Bottle. Straw yellow, large white head, slowly to disappears. Fresh aroma, hoppy, weak persistence. Hay aroma on an honey-malty backbone. Weak honey sweetness followed by a moderate herbal bitterness. Hoppy-herbal aftertaste, nearly balsamic, of bitter herbs, gentian. Dry palate, oily to watery texture, medium body. It is best on tap.

I had the Japanese brewed version of this, brewed by Asahi brewery. Pale golden and clear, just as one would expect. A medium white head, a touch of lacing. A very mild aroma, some sweetness with faint spicy hop tones. A very mild flavor, not too sweet as some of the "corn flake juice" Japanese macros can be. A step above average Japanese & US macros, but just a small step. I imagine this would be ggod in warmer weather or while eating Bratwurst!

Canned(500ml). -this isn't such a good beer as other Lowenbraus, below average CGS, malty and hoppy, and yes very boring

This is a classic German. Both malty and hoppy. Very clean and a bit boring. A nice refreshig if it is served at the right temperature.

Looks like a pils, smells like a pils, taste like a pils. It must be a pils! Smells and taste both malt and hops. Good bitternes and a touch of sweet in the ending.

Pretty average German pils. Not too much taste to it, if anything, a little bitter though. Pale color, not too much head to it. Smells pretty average, too.
