Jul 2, 2002 It says on the bottle ’Ein Bier wie Bayern’ (a beer like Bavaria).
Well, in that case Bavaria has a murky-brownish color, has a strong vanilla and banana aroma.
I would say the black bavaria is somewhat better than the regular white (really orange) one :-)

Feb 12, 2005 An above average Dunkelweizen. The apperance is maybe not to everybodys taste, but...It’s well rounded. Harmonic. Sweet/sour all the way through. Leaves a good feeling in the stomach.

Aug 12, 2006 Bottle. Brownish colour with a huge moslty lasting light brown head. Aroma and taste of wheat, malts and caramel. Nice dunkelweizen.

Sep 7, 2006 50 cl bottle. Yeast at the bottom. Cloudy brown colour with a little but nice creamy head. Aroma of yeast, bread-like and hints of burned caramel. Soft flavour of yeast, wheat and hints of carame, chocolatel and roastedness, ends up soft and tasty with a nutty finish.

Jun 25, 2004 Thin, reddish brown body. Smells of clove and corn. Taste is sweet clove and drying. Ends drying, bitter. I was not impressed by this as much as the others I had from Lowenbrau.

Jul 15, 2004 Bottle from Beers of Europe. Dark amber and murky with big brown head which soon diminishes, caramel aroma with some roasted maltiness, banana and vanilla in the taste. Bit watery in the mouthfeel department, with a shortish aftertaste. Quite nice, no problem with it, though there are much better dark wheatbeers.

Aug 11, 2006 Clove aroma with licorice. Caramel, licorice, banana and citrus in the flavor. Milky. Pretty good, in fact better as expected.
