(on bottle, thx joss) chestnut, clear brown, with very small, lasting head. Aromas of port, malts and carameled figs. powerfull maltosessweetness, witch exelent carbonation, witch gives it a jank upwards in mouthfeel. Could you send me 5 boxes of these, joss; cheers.

Bottle. dark reddish brown colour with off-white frothy head. Roasted malts and caramel aroma. The flavour is similar, nicely bitter and very well balanced. A nice, very drinkable doppel.

A deep red-brown beer with no haed. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel as well as hints of alcohol. The flavor contains notes of stale fruit, figs, wood, and alcohol. The mouthfeel is dry.

Dark ruby body with a light beige head that becomes thin quite quickly. Caramel aroma with some roasted malt tones. Malt and chocolate flavors, sweet but slight bitterness on the aftertaste. Round, low carbonation and warming. A very nice dopplebock.

Clear dark amber coloured body with a thin tan head. Malt, caramel, english hops, toffee in the nose. Cherry, toffee, caramel, pit fruits in the taste with most of it going to the malt backbone. Aftertaste nice-sweet & subtle showing malt and pit fruit qualities. Overall, a really nice treat from the authentic german pub, but in Australia! I sampled this 25 cL glass from draught at the Lowenbrau Restaurant on The Rocks in Sydney, Australia on 07-June-2004.

[on tap at the Löwenbräu Keller in Sagrado]. Very dark, opaque body, with a lasting rocky head. Strong coffee, roasted malts, caramel aroma. Full bodied. Bittersweet (dark chocolate) and not too syrupy; long dry and slighlty bitter finish. Balanced and very tasty. Alcohol is well hidden.
