The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Deep black, creamy head. Starts really strong, but not alcoholic. More dry then spicy, not really sweet. Finish malty, not too roasty, a bit sourish. Very drinkable and good doppelbock!

Poured a deep dark red color with a tan head. Good lacing. Smell was not strong but I did get some malt. Taste was great. Full of caramel and raisin with some smoke. Creamy mouthfeel and a nice tang on the back of the tongue. Great Doppelbock and I can’t wait to have more.

A very interesting brew. Not the best doppelbock that I had while in Germany however it was full of flavor. Very dark beer with brown frothy head. Unique and good.

Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of joss. It pours a beautiful ruby beer with a nice head. A lot of raisins and roquefort in the nose. Faintly smoky. (Some beechwood?). Good taste. Some smoke showing up. Pleasant. Caramel in the finish. Thanks a lot joss!

courtesy of DerDoppelbock - clear ruby-brown colour with a little beige foam; solid malty aroma with plenty notes of caramel and a touch of cola; full-bodied and very sweet; quite sticky; fizzy on the end of the palate; tons of caramel and malt in a quite heavy finish - representative of the bad side of the doppelbock (not my fellow german rater but the style :-))

Dark brown with a lasting creamy off-white head. Rich biscuit and bready malt aroma. Sweet and rich malty flavour with a little vineous fruit. Delicious!

50cl bottle @ Delirium Cafe, Brussels. BB 08/09. Pors a dark brown with a creamy white head and lacings. Nose is ryebread, sugar, roast, caramel. Taste is bread, roast and caramel. Smooth, chewy and sticky. Very nice! Rerate. Fresh bottle @ Munich. More chewy and less alc. than Andechs for instance.
