Aroma of sweet liqueric malt and toasty caramel, some fruity character of plum and raisins, light vanilla. Rich mouthfeel, oily texture with strong flavor of toasty caramel, sweet malt, spicy tastes of dried fruits and vanilla, some cinnamon.Minimal hop and herbals in the finish. Sweet toasty aftertaste. Strong personality, fine body. Why we can’t find beers like this in Hungary? thewolf (5831), Kolding, Denmark

Pours a great, clear, mahogany brown with a staying, beige, frothy head. Sweet and malty aroma, lots of rye bread, dried fruits, some black currants. Low carbonation, great oily mouthfeel. Flavour is quite well-balanced, not nearly as sweet as many other German dobbelbocks. Sweet, dark malts. Good roasted notes, lots of plums. A touch of chocolate. Still sweet, but a touch of grassy hops and a warming viniousness balance it well. Good. TBone (6850), Pori, Finland

Deep ruby color, good tan head. Dark fruity, caramelly and toasted nose, not very strong, also a bit grainy. Liquerish palate. Caramelly, slick, grassy hoppy, some raisins. A bit like some Baltic porters. Not in the big boys league (a la Celebrator), but ok. oh6gdx (9104), Vasa, Finland

Colore marrone chiaro, schiuma marrone chiara e spessa.
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 21, 2009 bottle, pours deep amber, medium light tan head. Carmel and a roasted coffee/malt nose. Sweet through and through but shows some malty character with some spice in the finish. In the vein of green peppercorns and cinnamon. Moderate carbonation and a full bodied feel. A good doppel, the alcohol is nowhere in the flavor profile, and I kind of wish it was somewhere in the finish.
