(bottle) Pours reddish brown with a long lasting beige head. Aroma is sweet caramel maltish, and flavour is sweet and dominated by caramel as well, with a slightly bitter finish. Body is rather light allmost watery.

[1213-20080320] 500mL bottle. Mild caramel malt aroma has a bit of grainy alcohol noticeable. Clear, red brown body with a quick foamy light tan head. Burnt caramel malt flavour has grainy coffee ground notes. Smooth medium-full body. Nice, repeatable, and suprisingly not too alcoholic.

500 ml bottle: cola brown with a medium sized tan head. Sweet malty aroma with a bit of roastiness. A touch of cherries. Flavor is caramel malt, not too sweet but it does linger a bit. Finishes slightly bitter. Good.

50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with aredish glare and dense tan head. Dense malt aroma with light alcohol note and a breadish scent. Flavour is sweet malty, light caramel note and a solid dense malt and alcohol mix. Warming alcohol finish with a light fruity note. Nice one.

Big beige head rises out of the glass then shrinks slowly. Deep dark red barely translucent body. Vague fruity earthy aroma with notes of wild berries. Sweet delicately roasted toffee and malts taste with notes of wild berries and licorice. Dry peppery roasty licorice aftertaste lingers for a long time. Some alcohol heat. Very good! (0.3l draft at Buthmanns, Lübeck.)

Bottle courtesy of DerDoppelbock. Clear reddish brown pour with a medium light brown head. Good aroma of toasted malt, fruits and caramel. The flavor has a nice balance between the toasted malt, fruits and caramel, the flavor lasts a long time, however the body is a bit light for the style.

2008-03-20. Dark brown body with a modest creamy tan head that fades. (3+) Sweet alcoholic aroma, sugary caramel, muted malt. Similar flavour, sweet sugary caramel malt up front, lightly toasty malt in the finish is dried out by a touch of alcohol. (7+) Average palate is smooth and touches on syrupy briefly. (3+) Decent. Bottle courtesy of Derdoppelbock trade at Zythos, shared with Mabel
