Lowenbraukeller, Munich. Carbon dioxide/pale malt snout with very faint banana(?)fruit and piney hop. Bright and rocky. Papery biscuit fizz, a trace of hops, a lick of metal. Not worth cycling across town for. Or possibly to the end of the street. Tastes tinned. Inbevvy.

500ml flip-top bottle. A moderate white head resting on an almost clear golden body. Lightly malted aroma with hints of grass. Sweet malty taste that continues into noble hops. Moderate dry palate. Soft, smooth and well balanced. Food friendly (chicken) (20.10.2007).

Bottle. Moderate malty, cookie, light yeasty. Big foamy-creamy head, clear yellow body. Light acetic start, light sweet finish, moderate duration. Light to medium body, dry & oily texture, soft to lively carbonation. Light astringent finish - good beer.

Clear yellow color, short dying white head. Aroma of grassy hop, bit herbal, malty. Clean bitter taste, some wheat, bit dry and crisp. Decent helles.

Nice thick white head, malty nose. Very nice smooth carb and mouthfeel, the one I’ve gotten to love in Löwenbräu products. Quite close to the basic Löwenbräu, but just packs a bit more of everything. Very nice overall. I’m quite amazed that in Oberhausen Centro’s Löwenbräu pub there is a tap that says "urtyp", but none of the staff knew the word "urtyp" and they eventually served me the dunkel. I then found this at a random drink market... maybe time to re-educate the staff?
