Oct 18, 2007 Bottle. Moderate malty, cookie, light yeasty. Big foamy-creamy head, clear yellow body. Light acetic start, light sweet finish, moderate duration. Light to medium body, dry & oily texture, soft to lively carbonation. Light astringent finish - good beer.

Jul 26, 2007 Nice thick white head, malty nose. Very nice smooth carb and mouthfeel, the one I’ve gotten to love in Löwenbräu products. Quite close to the basic Löwenbräu, but just packs a bit more of everything. Very nice overall. I’m quite amazed that in Oberhausen Centro’s Löwenbräu pub there is a tap that says "urtyp", but none of the staff knew the word "urtyp" and they eventually served me the dunkel. I then found this at a random drink market... maybe time to re-educate the staff?

Oct 30, 2008 Bottle, 5.4% at LCRBM08. Malty aroma, hint of honey. Clear yellow colour, no head. Good malty flavour, hint of citrus in the finish. Slightly sweet. Good mouthfeel.
