Pours clear, dark brown amber with a medium, creamy, off-white head. Fine lacing. Aroma is soft sweetness, a touch of chocolate and lightly roasted. Okay mouthfeel, but a little thin. Flavour is quite sweet, some roasted caramel and a touch of liqourice. Light dryness. Nothing special. ChristianScheffel (2059), Odense, Denmark Jul 6, 2008 Bottled on the main square in Zatec. Amber with a lasting off-white head. Toasted malt and a caramel aroma. Drybready malt flavour. Finishes with a nice German Schwarzbier roasted note, but is generally a little boring. Ungstrup (11031), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 4, 2007 Bottled. An amber beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and straw, while the flavor is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel.
