Lots of yeast present. Fruity yeasty aromas dominate, but some malt does come through. Flavors are again fruity with the addition of some spice, and hops. A mediocre rating for a mediocre brew.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jul 27, 2009 Aroma is full of Belgian yeast, some mild hops, and some spice aromas (minor bits of clove), and a little alcohol (principally light bourbon). The appearance is a golden color, with a decent white head, will developed lacing. The flavor is mildly tart, and slightly oaken taste, with a bit of cognac hints, with a nice caramel body. Super smooth, and a nice finish with a little woody at the end. Sparky27 (1641), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 4, 2009 Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy yellow with a 3 finger snow white head with the consistency of meringue. The nose is malt, grain and grassy hops. The taste is yeast, sweet grain, malt and light citrus hops with a spicy alcohol finish. Medium mouthfeel. Interesting brew. Starts out like a run of the mill foreign pale and gets more complex as I sip, and then the booze kicks in. Not sure where that ABV comes from, but it’s a decent brew. charlotte (2036), Vanløse, Denmark
