anders37 (4516), Malmö, Sweden Nov 29, 2008 Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Has a sweetish malty caramel aroma with some hoppy hints. Sweetish malty caramel flavor with some hoppy bitter hints. Sweetish malty bitter finish. harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England Oct 29, 2006 On tap at Lucky Labrador, Quimby St, Portland. Hazy amber colour with disappearing off white head. Slightly sickly aroma. Herb hop. Very strange. Watery. It’s like a bad English bitter, but with more earthy hop. I guess that the name is a tip of the hat to Anchor brewery in SF, but this isn’t a very close imitation to Anchor Steam patrick767 (2016), fort wayne, Indiana, USA Sep 24, 2006 tap at brewpub - Pours amber, thin head, nice citrus hops aroma. The flavor is moderately hoppy with good balance. The body is light. The taste seems very close to an ESB. This is a solid session beer. A dark amber colored brew. A nice flavor with a great nose of crisp and fruity hops flavors. This was a great beer and I liked the underlying malts and hops in the finish.
GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Jul 8, 2006 Cask at the brewpub. Slightly hazy orange-red color with off white soap-bubble head. Sprucy, citrusy hop nose with raisin and malty caramel notes. Tastes mostly of citrusy hops with a hint of rose hips in the background. Smooth on the tongue.
