Aroma: banana, clove and bit of citrus. Rather mild flavor with retrained esters. Crisp and clean but a bit too light. A bit of cardboard in there as well.

Mar 1, 2009 A neat organic beer. Not too knowledgeable about German beers, but I was impressed with how clear this beer was. And tangy, almost a sweet tartness.

Aug 23, 2007 tried this at the local brewery in SE Portland. golden yellow color. flavor is sweet, hints of banana, light citrus, and spice. refreshing.

Oct 20, 2005 I was really looking forward to this since I really like a good hefe. Not sure what I had, but it as not the german style as promised. Very flat and ordinary. If you want to try, go ahead, but you have been warned.

Jul 14, 2005 This beer is so undistinguished, I’m not sure if I actually drank it. Has very little... anything. It’s the Wes Clark of beers: All resume with nothing behind it.

Jun 5, 2004 Golen yellow with a thin veil. Nice banana tones at first, but crisp. Quietly musty. Decent interpretation.

Aug 4, 2003 Hmmm....tastes familiar.....I think I just had this beer a few minutes ago when it was called Golden Gorgon. Supposedly different styles, but really not much destinction between the two. A ho-hum beer.
