Pours a deep brown with lots of ruby/amber notes and a smaller bubbly white head. Aroma of dark fruits, cardboard, nuts, lightly roasted/toasty malt and a touch of vanilla. Flavor of roasted malt, light coffee, vanilla, caramel, toffee and nuts. Ungstrup (11075), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 12, 2008 Cask. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty and quite roasted with lighter notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, caramel, and chocolate, leading to a dry roasted finish.
