Last stop in Portland during ABA Beer Tour 07. On draught at the brewpub pours a clear dark brown brew with a light tan head that quickly dissolves to a tan ring. Aroma of smoked bittersweet chocolate, some mocha powder, and toffee. Taste is smooth, creamy with some chocolate and coffee tastes. Finish creamy with a slightly tart chocolate aftertaste.

On tap at Lucky Labrador, Quimby St, Portland. This was down as 6.1%. Black with ruby edges. Sour damson and molasses aroma, softer in mouth. Great sour stout with real character. Lots of choc malt. Great character.

tap at the brewpub - Pours block with a one finger tan head. The aroma is of roast malt and licorice. The flavor has coffee and licorice notes and the finish is fairly dry. The body is thicker than Labrador’s Irish Stout, making this a robust beer, as a stout should be. Good beer.

Draft at Pub - A black beer with small head. Aroma of coffee and chocolate. Rich malty aroma. A moderately hopped, dry stout. Excellent

Draught at the brewpub. Black, small head. Strong coffee aroma. Dryish with lots of coffee and licorice, soft mouthfeel. Packed with flavours derived from roasty malt. A good, robust stout.

This was just a really weak, average and bland, albeit slightly sweet stout. Typical roasty chocolate maltiness, some coffee and cream and not much more.
