Just the kindest of complexities moreso pronounced in the nitro version. Amazing nose, balance and full body.

2003 version. Close to pitch black with a brown head. Very fresh and sweet aroma of chocolate, maple and sweet cherries and mint. Plum, cherries and smoked strawberries in the nose. Syrup texture throughout, with an Imperial-like dark fruit and nut quality. Very smooth, with bitter and roasted chocolate finish. I like this one a lot... they must have changed the recipe from last year.

Black color, tan head. Muskat grapes in the aroma, special b, raisin. Nice roasted flavor, lots of complexities here. Bright & medium boded throughout. This is the opposite end of a thick imperial stout with tons of coffee & chocolate.

Not has heavy as other Oregon stouts. A sweet, robust flavor and subtle hop profile.

Very drinkable stout, a little sweet, but not overly so. The longer it sits the better it gets.

So this is their flagship beer, and with good reason. Good taste of fruit, maybe raisins or grapes. Some chocolate elements in play too. Alcohol taste factors in perfectly. Good medium body. Fun stuff.

Draught at the brewpub. Black, small head. Strong coffee aroma. Dryish with lots of coffee and licorice, soft mouthfeel. Packed with flavours derived from roasty malt. A good, robust stout.
