This is not thoe tyes that just kick you in the head and leave you NOT wanting more. This has a great flavor and the hops where just right for a good IPA. A nice dark amber color with a great haed. Loved the flavors and you could actually tatse a bit of the malts. motelpogo (4399), Plzen, Czech Republic

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 22, 2004 Clear amber-orange. Sugar-water sweetness in the malts, with caramel and toffee flavors. Juicy hop notes ... a little pine and some flowers. Nice aromas. Mild, but balancing, bitterness level. Some bitter orange notes as well. Pretty good, but I think I like the "alt IPA" better. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Jul 21, 2004 On tap at the brew pub. Deep golden color with a thin white head that left some lacing. Floral hop nose. Strong pine hop flavor, but the body really seemed lacking. Some white grape tastes and citrus rind bitterness in the finish. Okay beer but seemed to be missing some balance.
