Lucky Labrador Macleay Summer Ale

Hawthorn Lucky Lab. Bright yellow gold with a soft white head. With my pup by my side and a delicious spicy sandwich in hand this beer really brought out the summer in today. Big citrus hop flavor, fruity up front, but bitter bias finish. Crisp and great at cleaning away the spice from the turkey sandwich. Good overhopped golden ale.

Pours a bright yellow with some orange colors. Cloudy but very bright like a sunset. Aroma of honeylike malts and sweet peach. Some floral hops. Flavor is sweet and malty but not cloying. I detect a slight herbalness and peach esters. Light bitterness and citrusy hops on the finish. Very drinkable and thirst quenching.

On tap at Lucky Labrador, Quimby St, Portland. Gold colour with thin off white head. Bit of a stale aroma along with nettley hop. Bit of cat pee aroma to the hop. Altough a well made beer, it is not that attactive to drink.
