Cheers to Belgian beers 2008. Pour hazy red/brown with a soft light tan head. I got a lot of veggie notes out of this, sort of boiled artichoke flavor in the finish. Soft caramel and fruits up front, but overtaken by the hops and veggie flavor.

Apple cider, plums, cinnamon, caramel aromas flavors of cherry, molasses, hot wheat cereal w/ syrup. Darkest dubbel I’ve scene, a dark almost opaque brown, minimal head. enough hops to avoid the cloying without muddying the malt richness.
