Aug 23, 2008 Pale golden-amber. Woody hop nose. Very toasty, with lots of caramel. A bit thin in the body, definitely light. Lots of woodiness in the finish - a step back in time for American Pale.

Aug 19, 2008 Bottle... Clear golden ale with a small, creamy, white head. Earthy, peppery nose offers, very restrained, low-key notes of biscuit and caramel. Medium-bodied with middling carbonation. Leans a good bit on the bitter side of balance, but there’s no real hop flavor. No real flavor at all. Bitter finish. Malt? Where is it? Aromatic hops? Where are they? Kit beer. Needs work!

Jul 14, 2009 Bottle from Total Wine St. Pete. Deep gold with 2-finger white head. Nose is malt, peppery, tropical fruit. Tastes bitter, crisp, with flavor notes of hops, caramel malt, mild tropical citrus. Medium to light palate heft, and not terrible, just not a great APA in my opinion.

Apr 4, 2009 Ft. Myers, Fl. - Total Wines - 12 oz bottle. Standard APA - light orange pour, bubbly white head. Aroma has a hint of spruce. Flavor has decent subtle bitterness to it that would do well for a session ale with some decent underlying citrus notes in the back end. Mouthfeel, about par for the style. Drinkable.

Aug 12, 2008 OK, yet another beer I bought simply because it is brewed in FL in order to ‘tick’ another FL brewed rating. Sad but true. Pours clear copper with off white head. The aroma is malty sweet and mixed with crystal like malts and mild hop notes of citrus, pine and a touch of floral. I also get what seems to be a faint off note of stale malts. The taste has a nice up front hop bitterness of pine, citrus and mild floral. By midway I get a mild pulse of malt sweetness and slight caramelization.

Jul 25, 2009 Clear Orange, thin white head. Very bready aroma at first, with a grassy hop finish. Flavor has a surprisingly big amount of caramel, then a grassy finish. Decent session ale.

Sep 6, 2008 The aroma is malty with grassy hops and yeast. The appearance is golden with a light amber hue and a nice head. The flavor is soapy and hoppy with a light toasty finish. The palate is average. This beer is better than average but not a lot better.
