Aug 28, 2006 Draft at Brouwer’s Cafe Hopfest ’06. Clear amber with a scant head that quickly becomes a ring of foam. Minimal aroma, but some oranges, grass and tea can be found. Tastes of fruit and leather. A bit watery in places, with a dry finish. Not sure what went wrong here, but this is not my favorite IPA by a long shot. Hope I’re rating the right beer here. Looks like it has been retired for several years, which would explain the taste.

Aug 28, 2006 Draft at Brouwer’s Cafe Hopfest ’06. **NOTE**: This review applies to the "Liberty" DH version. Not sure if I have the right parent beer, honestly. Gold, maybe a little bit of ruby, with a tiny little head and less lace. Bready yeasty nose. Palate’s all sweet malt and raspberries. Poor palate. Gonna get blamed for all kinds of wrongs. To be avoided.

Sep 27, 2002 Beautiful bronze/brass beer with a perfect head. Slight chinook/cascade hop aroma and flavor with a small, but constant and unrefined bitterness. This is a rather light bodied IPA. While easy drinking, it is unexceptional and does not distinguish itself among northwest IPA’s.
