Big roasty, almost charred ashy aroma. .Medium body with a rough chaulky mouthfeel. Decent flavor is black licorice sweet with a taste of pit fruits and some dry roasted malts. Not too bad. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 6, 2008 Deep, dark cola body with thinnish chocolate head. Appearance was the closest this one got to being a Baltic Porter. Mild aroma with roast chocolate and barley. Flavor is a let down with ordinary brown malt and some chocolate characterizing the rather weak tastes. Nothing special, though alcohol is completely masked. Would never have guessed this was more than 6.7% ABV. hopdog (5617), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured a dark brown color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of roast, dark fruits, and chocolate. Tastes of chocolate, dark fruits, roast, light coffee, and some nuts. Alcohol content well hidden Looking at the other ratings, I’m glad I got a good bottle! AgentSteve (1379), SF Bay Area, California, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Jul 27, 2008 Bottle shared by aspidites, I almost didn’t rate this one, but seeing everyone elses ratings, it looks like this is either just a really bad beer, or almost every bottle is infected. Either way, steer clear. Horrible. IrishBoy (2722), Bakersfield, California, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 29, 2008 not thick looking. thin in fact. tons of yeast chunks. pretty small. thin head, but big bubbles. close to black. smells nothing like a porter. smells of metallic ale. hardly any flavor. tastes infected. sour as ****. there’s something wrong with this. Tyler appropriately pointed out it’s much loser to a cherry stout. Angeloregon (2036), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 28, 2008 22 ounce bottle from By The Bottle in Vancouver, WA--Poured a deep shiny black body with next to no head. Sweet, saucy, sour nose. Rich, thick coffee chocolate, boozy, malt flavor. Bit of hops in the finish. A very nice interpretation of a Baltic Porter.
