natrat (66), Naka-shi, Japan Nov 7, 2005 GCBF. Poured nice, creamy with a slight chill haze. Aroma was enticing, with a very fresh hop profile...not a smell I associate with high alpha hops, but maybe a mix of cascade and goldings (??) just guessing here. Nice clean taste unsullied by anything but hops and grain. Biscuit flavour lingers a bit. A nice beer to drink. I’d like to have more malt in this. Oakes (6853), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Sep 11, 2005 Hazy deep golden colour. As Joe said, it smelled like brew day. Quite frankly, Baron is one of the best in the nation at getting a fresh malt aroma in their beers. The flavour is clean, breezy, maritime with light leafy hops...probably a shade light and certainly not bitter enough for my tastes, but still well made. JoeMcPhee (3692), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Sep 11, 2005 Cask at GCBF. Pale golden colour. Nice fresh malt aroma, light noble hop aroma. Very fresh smelling. A bit of citrusy hop flavour amongst sweet fresh malts. Simple, but well-executed beer.
