Shared by bhensonb. Pours a clear light yellow with a scotch and honey aroma. That turns out to be a good combination. The honey counteracts the harshness of the scotch, resulting in a mellow taste. If you like mead, this is a good one.

Pours pale lemon color with no head. Aroma is scotch. Full bodied with zero carbonation. Mild heat. Sweet - not exactly honey. Some oak. Very mellow and smooth and the scotch is an excellent note. Finishes on a tastey honey note.

Light blond color. The aroma is strong, very flowery, with light rubber too. Quite sweet but not syrupy, with a clear alcohol warming feeling, honey flavor, a bit spicy. Not complex but not too bad.

Potent stuff that pours a golden blonde hue with a crisp head. Warm honeyed nose that crackles with spice and alcohol warmth. Honeyes flavor shines through, and while the incredible alcohol strenght is noticed, it is restrained enough to let the honey take center stage. Viscous, warming, and quite complex. Watch out!

Bottle at Sputyen Dyuvil. Pours golden. Nose is full of almonds, very much an almost amaretto mead. Taste is full of sweet almond. I liked this, so what, it tasted good.

From a bottle at the Vintage Estates, nice place. Very pale yellow. Stronger rotten off body odor aroma, perhaps of your favorite girlfriend, so I’ll say its more in a farmy way than bad way, heheh. Sweet and slightly rancid taste, quite weird for a beer lover. Slight warming must be from the scotch. Can;t really taste any whisky in there. Unique, but not really enjoyable. Sweet wine finish.

Pours still, pale golden with thick legs upon swirling. Scotch is not overtly apparent to my nose, but instead I find green wood, mild spicing and sweet honey. Mouth is thick and honey sweet with a floral essence and a great warming sensation as it coats the throat and reaches the belly. No vinous notes, which is a plus in my book. Lingers with a mild cloy and, finally, a whisky note. ~~~~~~~~ A hefty sample from my good pal Cornfield.

This Mead is very alcoholic, and sugary sweet at the same time. Not complex or anything... just kind of bowls you over.
