Wonderful aroma of sweet honey and spices. The flavor was equally as enjoyable with lots of sweet honey along with cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and ginger all noted. A bit syrupy, but this is very much a mead to be savored slowly, so the mouthfeel fits it quite well. Very well done and a perfect way to end a cool, crisp weekend. As Skyview and others commented that night, Christmas in a bottle. Exceptionally well blended cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and allspice intermingled with the honey nose. Very similar taste, but exceptionally smooth for such a highly spiced mead. Oh, and a beautiful rich golden color.
