DerWeg (453), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 16, 2008 Truly being a "gourmets for all seasons of times," LOL!; Did Satcha Baron Cohen write the commercial description? Poured from bottle at Ukefest in TO. Looks enough like real lager. Starts smooth enough and ends with a vaguely dry note. Sweet corn aroma and taste that is not odious. Slightly grassy taste and feel. One was enough for me yet I’m glad I tried yet another example of this evasively rare style so hard to find at Ontario liquor stores.
mabel (1748), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 3, 2009 [1737-20081001] 500mL bottle. Yeast and plastic hay aroma. Clear, yellow brown body with big long-lasting foamy white bubbles. More yeast and hay and plastic straw in the flavour. Light body is grainy. Bland. NJBeerman013 (645), Trenton, New Jersey, USA Nov 20, 2008 500 ml bottle. Pours a light golden in color with little to no head. It is a fairly calm beer with little carbonation. It has a grassy aroma and a metallic/grassy hop flavor. It is fairly non-offensive compared to other lagers from the region. Decent but not good. rodenbach99 (504), Longueuil, Quebec, Canada Oct 13, 2008 bouteille de 500ml, 5,2% bière blonde classique, bouche bien maltée, pas mal, manque de houblon Strangebrewer (62), Chatham, Ontario, Canada Oct 1, 2008 I grabbed a 500ml bottle from the LCBO. Labelled LVIVSKE Premium 5.2%. Poured clear golden with thick foamy head. Smells skunky/hoppy like a pilsner. Mild mouthfeel, kindaflat, tastes of corn and medium malt flavour. A slight hint of bitterness at the finish. A non-offensive beer.
