| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 5, 2009 A Mes rate. Cask handpull from the Market Porter. Very clean gold with a good white head. If it was in good condition, it would be 4 but I’m in the Market Porter so the best one can hope for is ok. Fruity but mainly very wheaty and grainy. Like a bowl of cheerio’s. It tastes almost like there is a slight infection. Blend between chalk and lemon with some (thankfully) pleasant hops. Dry and bitter finish brings it back on track. Otherwise dull and boring. berkshirejohn (1808), Bracknell, Berkshire, England
