yngwie (3454), Kristiansand, Norway Nov 28, 2007 On tap at the brewpub. Poured a clear, copper body, with a beige head. Rather small and diminishing head, but not disappearing. And it leaves nice lacings. Quite malty nose, a little smoked, bonfire-like note, and a slighlty fruity note in the back. Malt-based flavor with a fruityness and some bitterness. Lightly roasted as well. Medium full, with a nice carbonation level. Balanced finish with some bitterness. Else it is fruity, malty and a bit roasty. Certainly a quaffable beer, but a bit hard to pin. (071007) KnutAlbert (2174), Oslo, Norway Oct 22, 2007 An ale brewed close up to a good Octoberfest lager, a bit tar or smoke, some liquorice. Lovely bitterness, too. Smooth and easy drinking. larsga (2141), Oslo, Norway Oct 19, 2007 Thin white filmy head. Deep dark red-brown body with light carbonation. Light licorice aroma with sweetish hoppy notes. Dry thinnish metallic smoky licorice taste. Thin-bodied. Dry papery metallic aftertaste. Quite good, but could use more body. (0.5l draft at the brewpub.)
