bierkoning (5128), La Tropica, Netherlands May 2, 2005 Dark brown color. Malty, caramally aroma with nutmeg. Sweet malty flavor with hints of chocolate, cherry, nutmeg and a slight upcoming tartness. Not exactly my taste, but the quality is not too bad..

Muddy nut brown color, no head. Sourish fruity nose with hints of chestnut aroma. Papery, plum soup flavor with traces of sourness (infection). Short, tart finish. Similar to some low-end Belgi abbey dubbels.
