Dark brown color. Malty, caramally aroma with nutmeg. Sweet malty flavor with hints of chocolate, cherry, nutmeg and a slight upcoming tartness. Not exactly my taste, but the quality is not too bad..

Bottle 30cl. Pours a very muddy dark brown colour with a normal size head and almost no carbonation. Smell is very vague, little bit of fruityness there but moslty hops. Can taste yeast, vaguely some fruits and alcohol. Goes down nice and warm.

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Heavy malty light hoppy very fruity aroma. Moderate bitter slightly roasted flavor. Nutty and spicey. Not very balanced. Moderate bitter finish. Oily palate. OK but strange.

Bottle, 6.5%. Spicy and vinous aroma. Cloudy dark brown colour. Small light brown head. The flavour is quite spicy and a little sour. Not too old, though. Quite malty, dark malts. Good balance.

Bottled (BB 11/2007)
Muddy nut brown color, no head. Sourish fruity nose with hints of chestnut aroma. Papery, plum soup flavor with traces of sourness (infection). Short, tart finish. Similar to some low-end Belgi abbey dubbels.
