pours a cloudy burnt amber with a small foamy white head, and very good lacing.
smells of malt, earth, caramel, wood, and a touch of citrus.
taste is light and creamy, caramel, lemon, malt, and some hops, ends just a little bitter and creamy. dwyerpg (2529), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 30, 2007 Draught at Two Bells Pub, Seattle. Light sweet grain with smell of freshly brewed tea. Neutral fruity hops. Hazy amber with foamy off-white lacing head. Medium-light body with medium carbonation. A medium-sweet amber. Mild saccharin sweetness, light grain with little hoppiness. Mild finish and nutty sweet after. Fairly decent amber, and maybe not well served at this particular establishment. auderale (572), Fairchild AFB, Washington, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 14, 2007 Draft at Safeco Field on 7/13/07. Small white head over a clear orange/ amber body. Dark caramel aroma eith some hoppy overtones, certainly more hop character than other ambers that I’ve had. Medium body with a certain richness on the palate. Although the sweetness is quite evident, there is a surprisng and satisfying piney bitterness that dries up the finish to a large extent.
I’m rarely impressed by ambers, as they are often uninspired, boring brew. This is an exception. It has some character and depth of aroma and flavor that distinguishes it among its peers. awaisanen (1279), Irvine, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jul 6, 2007 On tap at multiple locations in Seattle. Hazy, honecomb yellow colored pour with a thin layer of wispy white head. Mild aroma of honey, smokey caramel, floral violet petals, and a touch of sprucey hops. Medium bodied, lightly carbonated mouthfeel. The body is a bit on the heavy and underattenuated side, making it a bit cloying and thick on the tongue. Amongst the sticky caramel melanoidans, a distant pine forest burns, a smidgen of smokiness detectable. Lots of brash, unapologetic white pine boughs create a firm hop bite on the front of the palate, but it thins in flavor at the finish while the body remains heavy. Nothing great, but it’s still nice to observe such great support for the local brewers, seeing how this was popularly offered alongside bud light pretty much everywhere. paleface1982 (13), cabot, Arkansas, USA

On the darker side for an amber, this beer is a delightful refreshing beer to say the least. medium head with a crisp citrus undertone. Goes down smooth with a wonderful after taste that needs to be experienced to believe. Do yourself a favor and TRY THIS BEER.
