I wasn’t expecting too much, and I was stunned when I tried it. Excellent example of a good amber beer. Smooth and drinkable, but has some very nice spice to it. Rich and creamy malts make for a superb mouthfeel. Very well balanced. A definite must try. kbjames (242), Utah, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 21, 2004 Citrousy malty aroma, nice medium dark amber. Thin, but creamy head. Awesome Apricot taste. And amazingly balanced hops and malts. More malty than most American Ambers, guess that why its African, maybe! gwfrankpsu (231), McKinleyville, California, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jul 8, 2002 My reviews of this beer are slowly diminishing. I was determined it was the BEST beer ever in the beginning. Sure it is easy to drink, the color is beautiful and it goes down very smoothly- but drink too much of it and you lose the excitement. It is great for a keg party but don’t ever get sick on it or you’ll never look at it the same again... Anyways my ratings may seem a little high but it is a well crafted beer.
