| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 17, 2006 Draft at El Corazon. Pours a cloudy amber with a lacy white head, although the lighting at El Corazon makes visual inspection a challenge. Aroma of citrus and floral hops with nutty malt. The taste is lightly sweet with nuts, toffee, oranges and a bit of apricot. Nice round flavor with a clean finish. The one decent brew in the Seattle area that consistently shows up on taps amid the Bud and Miller offerings at bars that don’t cater to beer geeks. Indra (2030), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 29, 2007 Draft at Ducks and Drakes, Leavenworth. Nose is full of caramel, nuttiness, faint wood and earth, some very light floral, fruity hop as well. Deep orange-amber color, translucent, with a thin head but nice lacing. Flavor profile is nicely balanced with light apple and citrus fruits, toasty bread, sweet and nutty caramel malts and a gentle spicy bitterness. Moderately effervescent with a medium body. Sort of an exercise in balance. Angeloregon (2025), Portland, Oregon, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Oct 1, 2005 I purposely left this one undrunk because I am not a huge amber fan. I tired the IPA and the Porter at the ariport on the way out, and then ended up trying this one on the way back home. Turns our this was better than both. I really enjoyed this amber. Typical amber color and aroma, but the flavor was outstanding. Very malty with the prefect hoppy finish. Very tasty stuff. If I have rated an amber higher than this, then it needs to come down or this needs to go up. Great stuff.

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jan 19, 2002 Interesting/appealing deep brown orange color topped with a nice head. This beer has a wonderfully full flavor with the balance slightly tipped in favor of the hops. Quite interesting and a little complex for an amber. An exceptional, easy drinking beer that is great to chill with. DanielBrown (1919), Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, England
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 15, 2003 Tried at the Cheesecake Factory, Seattle. This was one of my last beers whilst on holiday this year. Very tasty, and flavoursome ale. Nice dark colour - like a slightly dryer oktoberfest beer. At the time I didn't realise it was so well regarded, but I can see why people enjoy it so much. pantani (1902), Salinas, California, USA
