Pours a dark orange/brown with a thick off-white head that leaves nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel, sweet malt, brown sugar, molasses, sweet fruit, and maybe a hint of citrus. Flavor is quite sweet and malty with sweet tropical fruits and bitter floral hops in the finish. Uber drinkable and quite a tasty amber ale. Awesome maltiness with just a hint of hops and fruits. Yum! I keep upping my rating of this because I was just amazed by this beer and it’s probably one of my favorites ever. fredandboboflo (1418), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 28, 2008 Growler. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, semi-sweet citrus, some other lemony notes, some leafy/floral hops complementing the lemon. Flavor highlights the sweet malt with some touches again of the floral hops playing off of it. Some harsh graininess. Good beer. boto (1336), Granby, Connecticut, USA

This was a very good beer. It pours a Hazy amber color. A little head to it. More hops in the nose than I expected. Full malty taste, with a lot more hops than I expected. Definitely, not over the top, however. Very good, I'll have another! BelgianBeerGal (1293), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Exceptional amber but a fantastic beer no matter what category. Ambers sometimes get boring and staid but this was TASTY! I would gladly order this again. scrizzz (1287), kirkland, Washington, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jul 6, 2007 On tap at multiple locations in Seattle. Hazy, honecomb yellow colored pour with a thin layer of wispy white head. Mild aroma of honey, smokey caramel, floral violet petals, and a touch of sprucey hops. Medium bodied, lightly carbonated mouthfeel. The body is a bit on the heavy and underattenuated side, making it a bit cloying and thick on the tongue. Amongst the sticky caramel melanoidans, a distant pine forest burns, a smidgen of smokiness detectable. Lots of brash, unapologetic white pine boughs create a firm hop bite on the front of the palate, but it thins in flavor at the finish while the body remains heavy. Nothing great, but it’s still nice to observe such great support for the local brewers, seeing how this was popularly offered alongside bud light pretty much everywhere. heykevin (1269), Iowa City, Iowa, USA

Sweet honey floral malt aroma. Smooth clean body. Flavour similar to aroma but with added decent robust crisp hopiness. Real nice!
