Looks like a darker hefeweizen, with a very similar mouthfeel. Cidery notes at the top of the swallow. So so tasty. arhythmt (69), USA

Available only on tap, this beer is amazing when you first try one. Tremendous floral and fruit scents, very sweet but also hoppy, easy to drink a few pints in rapid succession. I think I’m a bit burned out on Mac and Jack’s by now, though, after hundreds of pints of the stuff. sandollor (47), Germany

On the darker side for an amber, this beer is a delightful refreshing beer to say the least. medium head with a crisp citrus undertone. Goes down smooth with a wonderful after taste that needs to be experienced to believe. Do yourself a favor and TRY THIS BEER. mooser42 (2), Washington, USA does not count | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jan 19, 2005 I love it! Everywhere I go I check to see if they have Jacks on tap! Great dark appearance and great flavor vinella (2), Woodinville, Washington, USA does not count | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Nov 20, 2005 I don’t want to dissect this stuff. It’s just a lights-out treat up here in MicroHeaven. It delivers that citrusy/caramel/toast/cherry/herb thing every time, in every setting, with a startling intensity and freshness. I run a wine shop that sells specialty beers and, to a person, my customers moan loudly about this stuff not being available in bottles. Me, too. I’d sell the heck out of this, if I had it. Luckily, I’m only 200 yards from a pub that serves it. Great amber. dlitt (1), Redmond, Washington, USA does not count | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 2, 2005 A smooth, rich, African Amber with no equal (at least, so far). Certainly the absolute best of the Northwest! TheBeerLover (1019), DC Metro Area, USA

This beer is a fantastic example of amber ale, with lots of great hop aromas, flavor, and bitterness, paired with really great sweet and caramel malt flavor. This beer pour to a hazy, deep amber color, with a creamy white head, and a good bit of carbonation. The nose is outstanding, with lots of big, fragrant, lemon/grapefruit hop aromas. The palate is firm, with some really good pale, sweet, and caramel malt flavors, paired with a nice fruity back drop of tangy, citrus hop flavor. This beer finishes with more really good sweet and caramel malt up front, then ends with a very pleasing, lemon/grapefruit hop bitterness that lingers. An excellent pint of beer, one that must be tried when ever you visit the Seattle, WA area. jasper5150 (1), Maple Valley, Washington, USA does not count | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Sep 20, 2006 One of the best beers I have had in a while. Its cloudiness has some mystery within. An abundance of flavor that is not overpowering. Smooth to the tongue.
