The aroma is pretty doughy with some bready yeast and floral and peppery hops. The pour is hazy and amber with a decent head. The flavor is doughy, bready, and floral with a long peppery finish. This would probably be my favorite of their beers actually. AmEricanbrew (1925), Wynot, Wyoming, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 24, 2008 Growler my dad brought back from the brewery. Nice golden honey color with some orange leanings. Smells like a resiny hop, with citrus and some yeast.
The flavor brings caramel and some hops, but not a hoppy bitter bomb I expect from a "NW IPA". Very drinkable, not overwhelmed by hops in such a way it’s almost hard to drink. Great beer, thanks dad. Brigadier (1246), Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA

With some time to kill before my flight home I stopped at this bar next to my gate. There was not much to choose from but they did have all four Mac and Jacks. I eventually settled on the IPA since it had the fewest ratings. Most of them seemed favorable. I have to agree. If you get a chance to try this without paying $5.00 do so.
Aroma / Appearance - A transparent rose gold body was decorated by a minimal head. As I sat waiting for the frozen glass to defrost so that I could actually taste something I tried to pick out the aromas attempting to escape. Finally I detected wheat, honey and sweet hops. Iced gingerbread cookies blended with Wurthers hard candy complete a satisfying nose.
Flavor / Palate - Resin and caramel compete for attention. For an IPA it is not dominated by the hops. The malts get a chance to make an appearance as well. This was a great sessionable IPA that I would try again if I could it in the proper (non iced) glass.
