swoopjones (1862), Buffalo, New York, USA Jul 11, 2007 On tap @ MacGregors Jefferson Ave. Decent dunkel. Color seemed a little light. Banana clove aroma. Sweet flavor along with banana & clove. seemed a little light & watered down but not bad shadey (1496), Rochester, New York, USA Dec 12, 2006 On Tap at MacGregor’s. Dark pour with a head of white cream. Some lacing, but I’m sure the tap assisted with that. Aroma is sweet and a little wheaty. Flavor is sweet for a dunkelweizen, but very easy to drink. Looking for a bit more wheat character and a little less sweet. A touch more body wouldn’t hurt either, but overall a good showing. jb (1024), Rochester, New York, USA Nov 11, 2006 This was a superb Dunkelweizen. I haven’t seen it at McGregor’s before, don’t know if it is a seasonal. Appearance was of a very dark hazy cider. Head was full but disappated quickly except for some very nice lacing. Aroma was very fruity. The dark kind. Palate was malty and sticky and sour. Finish just melted in your mouth.
Ron (1000), Rochester, New York, USA Nov 10, 2006 I had this on tap at Macgregors. Poured dark with a nice tan head. Aroma of wheat and malt. Good smooth body to the beer. I enjoyed this one.
