Lubiere (3324), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Feb 13, 2006 Dark amber with copper hues, and a thin white head. Sweet caramel aroma with strong diacetyl notes. In mouth, very sweet unfermented worth, with little hops, thin and short in mouth. A boring offering, on tap at McGregors in Henrietta, Feb. 4, 2006. CapFlu (3340), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Feb 6, 2006 (Draught) Pours a thin, white, dissipating head with a deep brown body. Nose is mildly oaky and eggie. Flavour is a tad bland - flat cola, scotch from the distiller spill pond. Ron (749), Rochester, New York, USA Jan 15, 2006 Thanks for the draft Chaz. (yea, at McGregor’s) Dark brown with a head that hung arond. Sweet aroma as was the flavor. Very smooth and drinkable. j_b (753), Rochester, New York, USA Jan 12, 2006 On tap at McGregor’s Henrietta. Dark brown with a nice head. Malty grainy palate, nice lush mouthfeel. Nice aroma of mostly malt came out as it warmed. I liked this better than the usual Scotch as there was a wee bit of hops in there for me. zach8270 (1421), Henrietta, New York, USA Oct 6, 2005 (draft @ MacGregor’s - Rochester, NY) Reddish color with a tan head. Very light aroma, mostly of malts with a hint of grains and toffee. The flavor doesn’t have much of the flavor I associate with a scotch ale, but it isn’t bad. It begins with a nice malt and toffee/caramel taste and goes to a crisp and slightly bitter hop finish. A little watery but it hides the alcohol well.
