KM (145), Tromsø, Norway Mar 10, 2007 Updated: Apr 23, 2007Brown/black colour. Nice beige head (which sticks to my moustache, it’s usually means good quality). Fruity aroma, with hints of coffe. Complex flavour of burned wood, fruits and coffee (where is the chocolate?). A gentle fruity and bitter aftertaste. A nice combination of tastes makes this a good beer. (Blå Rock, March 2007) Finn (1085), Tromsø, Norway Feb 24, 2007 On tap at Ølhallen, Tromsø. Dark red brown colour. A delicate chocolate coloured head - quite short lived but it never disappears. A rich aroma of chocolate and coffee. A lasting flavor of different types of chocolate, some coffee and hints of bitterness. A dry, moreish aftertaste. An easy-to-drink beer. A bit thin for a porter but a good beer. Rune (1663), Tromsø, Norway Feb 24, 2007 500ml on tap at Ølhallen, Tromsø. The brew has also been tested at a couple of gatherings in Tromsø (Courtesy of Christian - the brewer at Mack). Beige, foamy head over a black body with a brown-reddish tint. Inviting flourish and flowery aroma offset by a roasted touch. The flavour is a blend of cascade hops and dark chocolate malts. Lingering bitter finish. Thin to medium palate. An easy going, smooth porter. The brew is available on tap at Blå Rock Cafe and Øhallen in Tromsø (13.02, 17.02 and 23.02.2007)
