Commercial Description:
The beer is brewed with two kinds of malt: Pilsner and Pale Vienna. The hops are German (Pearl)for bitterness and Czech (Saazer) for aroma. The yeast is the standard Mack yeast for cold fermentation. The beer is bright and fruity with a distinct spicy and hoppy aroma. The first sip stirs the sensors on the back of tounge while the next create a more rounded fruity flavor. Color: EBC 10,7. Bitterness: 45 EBU.

A great surprise - and a good one. Mack has been making lots of really good beers in their micro brewery

What a pleasant surprise to find this unfiltered and unpasteurised beer on tap at our local Ølhallen on a Friday afternoon. Two half litres with a nice hazy, golden body under a fading, white bubbly head. Modest aroma of dry citric hops. Sappy citrus fruits in flavour followed by orange shells mixed with hints of sweet toasted malts. Smooth and lingering bitter endnotes. Fine balance between sweetness and bitterness. Feels well bodied on the swallow. A social session beer with refreshing drinkability. More a Golden Ale or a well hopped Pilsener than a lager (Tromsø, 08.05.2009).

On tap at Ølhallen, Tromsø 8 May 09. Bright golden colored. Unclear. A rapidly disappearing large fluffy head. Inviting aroma of spice and citrus. Well rounded compex flavor with citrus in the foreground. Pleasant dry fruity & bitter aftertaste that lasts. Moreish. More like a Golden Ale than a Lager.
