Ungstrup (11930), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 11, 2007 Bottled. A dark amber beer with a medium sized orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of caramel, nuts, and citrus. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel and lighter notes of nuts and cocoa. The body is thin inspite of the 6.5% ABV. Papsoe (11421), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 15, 2007 (Bottle 33 cl) Provided by the man behind 90% of my Norwegian ratings, thanks again Yngwie. This pleasant Christmas beer pours a clear, warm, dark amber golden with a small, beige head. Clean and malty nose also with some caramel. Medium body, fruity with flavours of burned caramel - some sweetness yet it ends fairly dry. Quite delicate. 090407 omhper (11027), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 20, 2007 Bottled, thanks Rune! Clear dark ruby, small head. Aroma of roasty malt with some cherries underneath. With it’s restrained sweetness and rather slim mouthfeel it’s more drinkable than most traditional Norwegian christmas beers. Rather fruity with light caranelly malt and a touch of raisins. Low bitterness. Oakes (7047), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jun 9, 2001 Hoppy interpretation. A bit thin, but good leafy character and light nutty malt underneath. joergen (6947), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 21, 2007 Bottle.
