Apr 25, 2008 Bottle, 12 oz. Beautiful black with a large, lasting, rocky brown head. Aroma of dark fruits and roastiness. Nice balance of bitterness and sweetness. A very good beer, but not quite great.

Apr 21, 2008 I could only have a small amount of this, because I am lactose intolerant, but from what I had I was not that impressed with. Pours black as it can get, there is no light escaping through this one. Nice chocolately flavor, but what I run into with milk stouts, is that sacchariny sweet flavor that lactose gives to a beer. Just ruins it for me.

Apr 18, 2008 6-pack from Total Wine, River Edge, NJ...bottle pours black, tiny tan head...faint but rich toasted malt aroma...mild malty flavors with some hints of sweet chocolate...smooth mouthfeel...this is a Sam Adams?!?! (Well, sort of...) Not bad, not bad...

Apr 17, 2008 The look is a nice dark brown with a thin tan head, with a nose of sweet fruity esters. The flavor was nice initially with some sweet chocolate and hints of berry. It has a nice sutle berry and roasted malt that sticks on your tounge. The finish has sweet cherry but it isnt tart which is nice. Overall it is a good beer considering it is low in alcohol, but the flavor makes up for it.

Apr 12, 2008 Updated: Feb 21, 2009pours black with a tight tan head made up of many many tiny bubbles,lots of lacing just grabbing the sides of the glass,scents of roasted malts, expresso. taste of roasted malts, coffee and dark chocolate , as brew warms it becomes more sweet and smooth, very easy drinking

Apr 5, 2008 Very nice lighter stout. Not as bold as some of the other stouts out there. Nice pleasant aroma. Flavor has some sour notes along with the usual stout flavors. Black pour with a tan head. Very good.

Apr 3, 2008 Very tasty beer.
Pours a very dark, caramel-colored head. Lightly carbonated. It’s very light bodied, so it feels pretty refreshing.
More tasty and complex than a Guinness for sure!

Apr 3, 2008 This one of Favorite Stouts. Deep color with a darkish head. The flavor is sweetish deep roast. An Expresso of the beer world. Try it you’ll like it.
