| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Apr 2, 2008 I like this beer. Dark brown to black in color with a pretty good head. Smell and taste have all the maltiness and sweetness that you could want without being overwhelming. Medium body and smooth as silk. Naka (526), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 1, 2008 Pours a dark brown / black color with a darker khaki color head. The head dissipated rather quickly. The aroma is a sweet molasses with some coffee, caramel, and chocolate. There is also a little bit of the freshly baked bread cooking alcohol smell. The flavor is filled with chocolate, caramel, and a burnt espresso flavor. There is a hint of black cherry too. It actually tastes like the fake cherry cordial Hershey Kisses. The body is nice and thick and leaves a lingering burnt taste on the tongue. tompete (72), Burlington, Iowa, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 27, 2008 Bottle - Pours black with a tan head. Sweet aroma. This is a very unique stout. It has a sweet subtle cream/milk flavor that does blend well with the dark roasted malt. redlight (1496), Winter Park, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 27, 2008 i’ve had this many times, but realized i never rated it, so here goes........Sweet vanilla on the nose, with some traces of chocolate and roasted malts. Pours black, looks pretty thick, with a dense tan head that is holding up nicely. Sweet vanilla with hints of coffee and chocolate, very smooth and easy to drink. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 26, 2008 Bottle. Body is black with a one finger tan head. Looks a little thin. Aromas are of cardboard, light chocolate and roasted malt. Flavor adds to the above with sweet vanilla tones and additional chocolate with a hint of plums and soy. Palate is a little thinner than I would have prefered and not quite full enough to make all of the flavors pop. Decent enough, but not great.
