As stouts go, this one is unique, and in a delicious way! What a pleasant luxury every time I get to enjoy one.

It is almost definitely the sweetest beer I’ve ever had. Has notes of chocolate, mocha, and reminds me a bit of a milk stout. Definitely a nice beer to take your time with. mrw1zard (54), Birmingham, Alabama, USA

I expected a strong alcohol taste or a bitter finish, but surprisingly - I got neither. A taste of toffee lingers in the mouth after each drink, but not very long. A great brew. Reddish tan head. Raisin sweetness Nice mouth feel, but finishes a little thin. BitchesBrew (710), Berkeley, California, USA

Flavors are cereal-like (in a cocoa puffs kind of way), with plenty of bready malt and sweet coffee. Interesting licorice and very mellow smoke character. Not too bad. oldpainless (35), fort mill, South Carolina, USA

I like this one alot & drink it often. puggy211 (596), cordova, Tennessee, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 29, 2008 Slowly rising but thick rusty brown head on thick black beer. Have to swirl the glass to maintain a nice molasses and cookie scent. Trace of cinnamon? Flavour is gentle rich chocolate, molasses and light spice. Spice is ginger or nutmeg. Like drinking a soft chocolate cookie.
