A very dark beer, with a tan head that laces nicely. Aroma is sweet and fruity with a hint of banana. This was a very nice beer. Maybe the stout is my new beer of choice, I know I enjoyed this one.

A very dark beer. To me it a strong coffee flavor. Overall, I like it, but it could have been better.

I had this beer the first time at the Laughing Lion, a nice beer bar in Dover, Morris county. I really liked it and at that time sought it out where ever I went but noone had it. Finally, A&P liguer in Ledgewood is carrying it. It’s as good as I remember. Aroma of alchol & malt flows right into a smooth, & fulfilling mouthfeel, and tastes of dark fruits, Honey? caramel, malt & a perfect roast. Very complex taste but my palate is not so able to separate whats there. The complexity of the flavor is great. There’s no doubt its a Stout! Everything plays nice together. This is a fine beer. goes down easy and doesn’t punish you for having another.

[Bottle] Really, this is 94 percentile? Wow. First time I had this last year I thought it was decent...this time I found it to be far from that. Pours black with a tiny dark tan head. Aroma is extremely sweet, with vanilla, banana and faint roasted malt. Taste is, as Guerde said, mostly coke, with light roasted malt. This was not a very good beer.

(bottle) Pours black with a small dark tan head. Aroma is very sweet with some brown sugar and vanilla, no roasted malt. This beer tastes like someone took Coke and infused it with some roasted malt, because the taste is almost exactly like coke initially then a slight roasted finish comes in to remind me I’m drinking a stout. Pretty thin body, not that good.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of ’Naka. Pours dark black with a nice mocha-colored head that disapated quickly. Great malty nose with hints of coffee and a touch of sweet carmel. Mouthfeel starts out a bit watery, but fills out with a sneakily large amount of carbonation. Sweet taste with only a hint of coffee, and vanilla, and it seems like a touch of lactose. Very good stout. Not overpoweringly coffee-esque, but still has a great stout feel. Definately warms you up at 8 AM while tailgating.

Bottle. Aroma of some roasted caramel malt, vanilla, and milk. The flavor is mostly of the roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, and some lactic acid (sour milk). It might be slightly spoiled.
