Poured a opaque black with frothy beige head. Delicious aroma of toffee, dark fruits and coffee. Had an equally good flavor with a decidely round mouthfeel.

Poured a dark, dark brown. Exactly what you expect out of a stout. Aroma was sweet malt with some coffee. Flavor was alll that with some chocolate and caramel, as well. I’m sorry I waited so long to try this one.

Black motor oil colored, brownish head. Tastes of coffee and chocolate. I’d say creamy mouthfeel, but its just on the carbonated side of creamy. Much lighter wallop than the imp stouts, but goes down very well - easy to see why it’s rated so highly.

This is a wonderful rich beer. It is blackish brown with a small, dense brown head that lingers and leaves some lacing. The aroma is blackstrap molasses, toast, chocolate & faintly of coffee. The taste is full and somewhat sweet, chocoalte, wheat bread, with a faint coffee element in the finish. The palate is thick, full, but lively.

Very dark chocolate color, caramel roasted malt, sweet aroma. Bittersweet, malty, nice stout. Heavy, malty, everything a stout should be.

Bottled (thanks Papsoe!). Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, caramel, some wood and a bit of chocolate. Flavour is roasted malts, coffee, wood, licorace and chocolate. Aftertaste is also a lot of chocolate. A really pleasant one.

Bottle poured into pint glass. Black oily colour with a small brown head that lasts with lacing. Roasted malt in the aroma and a little chocolate in the flavour. Strange finish I can’t quite place. Okay sweet stout.

Starts of good...chocolate malt, coffee, some bitterness, and a nice roasty character. Too sweet for me, though. The finish is bizarre and rather disappointing. All the flavor falls off and I’m left with something that resembles heavily sweetened soy milk. Swallow it quickly.
