TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured an opaque, extremely dark brown that look black in the glass witha small to average, light brown head that mostly diminished and left fair lacing. The aroma was of moderate toasted, nighty and moderate milk chocolate malt with just a little dark fruit. The initial flavor was moderately sweet, while the finish was heavily sweet and lightly bitter with an average duration. It was packed with flavors of chocolate syrup and some nuttiness. The medium to full body was creamy with soft carbonation and a lightly astringent, but smooth finish. ChrisJ (100), Warrenton, Virginia, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 12, 2007 Bottle 12 oz. Poured black with a thin tan head which left medium lacing on the glass. Aroma was sweet with notes of vanilla and some fruit (banana???). This was very surprising. The sweetness was overpowering. Almost cloying with more of the fruit (again a buttery banana), with coffee, chocolate, molasses, and others. Sweetness gives way to a slightly bitter finish. Thinner than I expected. Although the start was interesting and perhaps promising, the finish was banal and ordinary. An average sweet stout. TBone (6840), Pori, Finland

Opaque black, good expresso head. Roasted malty, sweetish nose (milk chocolate). Quite sweet: sugary with cold coffee flavor. Some cold coffee also in the flavor. I am not a big fan of sweet stouts. merlin48 (518), New Tazewell, Tennessee, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 8, 2007 Dark and opaque pour with a persistent tan head that laces well. Aroma of chocolate milk and burnt coffee. Medium body is thinner than expected. Taste is chocolate milk, cola, and a hint of coffee. Has a bold lactic note and no bitterness. A little too sweet. Good beer
