| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 23, 2007 12 oz. Opaque black with a small, dark brown sugar head that rings the glass all the way down. Aroma is brown sugar, molasses, marshmallow, banana, graham cracker and a slight metallic hint. Taste is molasses, marshmallow, banana and graham crackers balanced with roasted barley and a slightly acidic-sour note. Palate seems highly carbonated, or maybe its just the effervescence in combination with the acidic tingle. Medium-heavy bodied and slightly watery . cbeers21 (576), Miami, Florida, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 21, 2007 Pours a viscous deep ebony with a thin mocha colored head.Toasted coffe malts on the nose as well as a milky metallic twinge. A toffee, roasted chocolate bite with a delicious stong mocha twang towards the end. Is this a coffee or beer ? Well bodied with a chewly roasted maltiness. | 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jun 19, 2007 Pours an oily black with a modest bubbly brown head that fades into a compact surface film. Beautiful! Huge rich aromas of coffee and sweet chocolate mousse. Silky, heavy mouthfeel with rich chocoalte and coffee all over the place, sweet enough to be a dessert if you wish, but not so sweet as to become cloying. It has been too long since I’ve had a stout that is this enjoyable-- who says you need to pump a beer up with alcohol and call it "Imperial" to give it character? This blows away some of the imperial stouts I’ve had on pure blissful drinkability matched with astonishing balance and depth of flavour. Go get some! thegreenrooster (1842), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 17, 2007 Pour is a dark black with a nice size brown head. Aroma is chocolate and coffee with some sweet sugar. Flavor is super sweet with some coffee and more sugar. I know this is a sweet stout but this is way to sweet. A bit more hops and less sweetness would make this a fine brew. yespr (12345), Copenhagen O, Denmark
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 16, 2007 27.5 cL bottle produced in Trinidad and Tobago. Pours black with a huge brown, creamy and crispy head. Aroma is coffee and sugar which can be smelled clearly while the glass stands on the table. Creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is dominantly sweet, but has bread and coffee notes. Slight bitterness in the finish. Strange balance, I guess it is sweeter in this version than the one in Boston. I’m hoping I can do the comparison when I get there. jason (1623), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
