Jun 7, 2007 Appearance: Pours a grand black color with a rich, frothy caramel-colored head.
Smell: Roasted grains and sweet sorghum joined with a striking, flowery anise scent.
Taste: AAaaahahhahaa. Sweet. No, seriously, it’s rather sweet, with flavors of plum, toffee, root beer. Negligible traces of soy cover the tongue. Finishes dry and noticeably powdery. Contrary to other milk stouts I’ve tried, this one lacks that sour milk ’kick’ I’ve previously encountered within the style.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied and creamy, but with a constant cola-like aftertaste.
Drinkability: A excellent choice for a low-ABV go-to stout.

Jun 3, 2007 12oz bottle-A darl black body with a huge tan head that dissipates quickly into a ring. Aroma of dark malt and sweetness. Taste of sweetness followed by a lingering sweetness and then chocolate and coffee. The most sweetness I’ve ever had in a stout but I don’t think is a bad thing. Nice tasting stout.

May 27, 2007 This is a different kind of stout. It has a big sweetness on the nose and palate. I do enjoy the notes of chocolate throughout but not the bitter kind. IThe beer has some weight but not as much as you woul;d expect from the color!

May 27, 2007 This may be the sweetest sweet stout I’ve had. Very nice appearance, dark black with a very dark brown head. Nice mocha aroma, a touch burnt. Very oily palate and loads of chocolate malt. Just a bit too sweet - more hops please.

May 27, 2007 330 ml can. Lasting frothy dark brown head. Dark brown, nearly opaque. Sweet-smelling, choclatey nose. A little sweetness upfront, cane sugar, molasses flavors. Coffee comes through and dark chocolate flavors, as well. Some bitterness in the finish. Buttery mouthfeel, but also a bit too watery. Too sweet for my taste.

May 24, 2007 Pours with a dark head and black body. Coffee, chocolate, and bananas in the nose. Thick and sweet taste. Goes down real easy. Very smooth.
